There’s nothing like falling asleep in seven feet of poly-filled death. But according to the designer, Chumbuddy (note: rad name) was designed in an effort to “Make sharks (a very misunderstood animal…) more cuddly.”

Not sure that’s what comes across. But I like it anyway.
