How to keep a disposable razor blade sharp
Disposable razor blades are expensive. Insanely expensive. $3 per cartridge expensive.
Fortunately, I only have to shave twice a week. Still, it annoyed me when I had to go to Costco and lay down over $40 for blades. I found this video, tried it and have been using the same cartridge for a few months now. Yes, it really works. Anyone else have any tips?

Just shave less. I shave on Sundays. I first hack off the long whiskers with my electric trimmer then shave with a disposable. I bang it on the sink to expel the whiskers thast get caught.

But I’ll definitely try this.

Hmm. This is essentially a modern, repurposed blade strop, right? If blades get dull due to micro burrs due to oxidation, than I could see this working.By the way, Dave, have you officially abandoned LivSimpl? This seems like something you would formerly post on there.

Yes. I do this with my Gillette Fusion blades and it works like a charm. It dries off the blades and sharpens them at the same time.LivSimpl is pretty much dead. Just burned out on it. I’d shut it down except every once in a while I get comments or emails from people and it’s easier just to leave it alone.
