Forpeterssake, how do you know if you like/dislike a movie if you’ve never seen it? Pun intended. Yes, the trailers were really lame. The movie, however, had much intellect and a quick-witted script. In fact, I’m not the only one who thinks so. 118 out of 172 critics on rotten tomatoes agree that it was good. You’re entitled to your opinion, but perhaps you should watch the movie before you express such a conclusion.

I don’t think you’re missing much if you haven’t seen the movie. I saw the trailers and immediately thought it was the dumbest thing I had ever seen. Most of the reviews seem to confirm my opinion. When you take the intellect away from the most intellectual literary detective, you aren’t left with much. And when you add Guy Ritchie, you’re usually left with crap.

A sad attempt, but SOLVE is supposedly the connector. Sherlock Holmes is a great movie, the previews don’t do it any justice. They gave the impression that it was going to be an 1800s sequel to Iron Man. The story line was much deeper and he’s not some sort of Casanova by any means. If you liked the books, and you’re okay with a few details being off (Watson is not fat and Sherlock actually fights people rather than sitting in a chair while thinking about fights) you should see it. As far as the taquitos go, I’ve never tried them, but I bet they’re not nearly as good.
